The space station in the desert.

Hi, everyone!

Today I want to tell you about the capital of Kazakhstan-Astana. It is one of the most beautiful cities in the country. It is located in the north-central region of Kazakhstan on the Ishim River. The word Astana in Kazakh literally means Capital but the word itself originates from Persian and literally means royal or sacred. Astana is the young, but rapidly growing capital.
Astana is the city of amazing architecture. Since acquiring the status of the capital of Kazakhstan the city's face has changed dramatically. The architects and builders working in the capital have created wonderful architectural ensembles.

The Baiterek Tower has become the city's symbol and its visiting card. According to the legend, Baiterek is the tree of life, the destination of the sacred bird, Samruk. It takes refuge in the tree’s high crown to lay a golden egg - the sun - giving life and hope. The height of the construction is 105 meters, and it is an observation deck providing a bird's eye view of the city- the modern business district on the left bank of the Ishim, and cozy areas with squares on the right bank.

Kazakhstan Central Concert Hall. The building’s shape reminds the dynamism of the petals of a flower as a metaphor of the dynamism of music itself.  The building has very interesting design, moreover it protects it from the extreme climatic conditions of Astana. It houses one of world’s biggest Concert Halls for classical music, also it has been designed to adapt to all kind of performances such as classical, pop and traditional music concerts, theatre, ballet, conferences and cinema.

Khan Shatyr Entertainment center is a giant transparent tent in Astana. It is larger than 10 football stadiums and contains shopping and entertainment places and indoor beach resort.

Today, I tried to describe the capital of my country, but of course there still a lot of things to tell about it, So, if you are interested in it, just come and see it:))) Hope, you enjoy reading my blog!)))

Something about the movies.

Today I want to talk about movies and their influence on people’s lives. Personally, I feel that the movies become part of  people’s lives nowadays. Moreover, the film industry offers us different types of movies, and you can easily choose according to your personal taste.  Of course, not every single person are fond of movies, but in general lots of people like them, or watch them from time to time.

I really like watching movies, especially good ones, I mean with the capturing topics and good actors playing. Of course I don’t spend all my free time on watching  them, but if I have nothing to do and I know some movies that I want to watch I will spend my time on it. I think that if the movie is really good you will never think that you just waste your time watching it. Some movies will make you think about different important things in your life, for instance, there are such movies as Schindler’s list or The Shawshank Redemption. Some movies will terrify you totally such as The Ring, which I think the scariest movie ever (the Japanese version), some of them will make you laugh or cry, some of them are really very strange such as Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. In other words if the movie is really very good it will never let you half-hearted.

One of my favorites movies is The Silence of the Lambs. I think that it is one of the best movies ever. It captures you from the very beginning because of the interesting storyline and gorgeous actors playing. It is the best example of how the real thriller should look like. If you didn’t watch this movie yet, I highly recommended it to you.

"Pearl of the steppe"

In this blog post I want to tell you about one of the most beautiful places in my country.
In the north of Kazakhstan, between Astana and Kokshetau(it's my native town) is a wonderful district, a real oasis, named Borovoe. The translation of this word from kazakh language is camel. Geographically, this place is called the Kokshetau heights and the people who live there gave it the name of Kazakhstani Switzerland. There are a lot of mountains, lakes and forests in Borovoe. There are more than dozen lakes such as Schuchye, The Lake Borovoye, Big and Small Chebachye, Kotyrkol, the Swan Lake.

From the north it is surrounded by the Kokshetau mountains with height about 1000 m above sea level, covered by the birch forests. In the neighboring of the resort there are interesting rocks and cliffs.
For example,“Okzhetpes”. It is the name of the highest mountain in Borovoe. Sometimes it's also called as Blue Mountain, because it's often covered my the blue fog. The “Sleeping knight” is the name of the hills. They were called this way, because they're look like a warrior. And the “Sfinks”. In Kazakhstan it's called as Zhumbaktas-Mistery mountain. If you look at this mountain from different points of view, you see the face of a young lady with waving hair from one side and the face of the old woman from another.
Borovoe is the real pearl of Kazakhstan. The combination of mountains, forests and lakes creates not only the unique beauty of the landscape, but also a special healing climate. Here you can find many sanatoriums, tourist bases. Also, there're a lot of restaurants, bars, shops and clubs in Borovoe.
I'll be very glad if one day you decide to visit this fascinating place.
